Butterfly Bush Monarch

It was cool enough today to actually get outside in the backyard and have a little fun shooting. I probably should have been cutting the grass but finding this Monarch Butterfly and getting a decent image of it was a lot more fun. Because of the bright sun and the shadows, as well as the angle that I was shooting him at, I decided to use fill flash on him. I also didn't want his wings out of focus so I shot this on Flexible Program mode and bumped up the aperture to f/9 in order to get all of the bloom and all of the butterfly in acceptable focus.
