Landing Gull by TThealer56 Landing Gull by TThealer56
We decided to go over to the beach and play with the gulls a bit. All you have to do is pull out a bag with some crackers in it and the gulls know what's in store and will come over in flocks and stand right in front of you hoping you'll feed them. :giggle:

Thanks so much! This is one of my earlier attempts. Fortunately gulls are pretty slow flyers. :giggle:

I found your photo on John's feature... and I must tell you that it jumped into my eye among all others because of the seagul and the beautiful blue of the ocean. But when I clicked for the full view... :faint: I was in heaven ! How perfect and beautiful !!! :clap:
The texture of the feathers is something I had never been able to see this close (and belive me, I've seen seaguls, I even have a photo that I will (now with great shyness) sumbit) and the incredible overall focus on it's body is just amazing.

This shot made my day ! It's worth that being 3 am I am still here :lol:

My honest congratulations !!! :wave::hug:

I really want to get some similar shots of Pelicans when we're at the beach this year. :nod:

Well, I know sea gulls, but I don´t know that much
about photography !! :laughing: So let´s say I think
you did a great, great job here.
Luck always helps, but you need to know a lot to be
able to get something like this :nod:

Pelicans... that would be also a stunning shot !!
You should definitely go for it !!

Oh! I will. :nod: I've been shooting for a little while.... getting used to digital was my main challenge. The largest challenge for me is opportunity. Being in the right place at the right time. :nod:

she is fully recovered now and has much more energy than me having just celebrated her birthday ( 17th Jan)
which she spent with me and one of her brothers/partner watching a film, eating home made lasagne ( yummy)
